Villa Petraia

Once the home of Brunelleschi, in 1575, Villa Petraia became the residence of Cardinal Ferdinand de Medici, who had the structure renovated by Buontalenti. The courtyard entrance was covered with glass to create a nineteenth century dance hall.
Villa Petraia was the chosen residence of king Vittorio Emanuel II. There is an Italian garden designed by Tribolo.
